Beautifully hand-stitched by artisans in northeast China's Hebei Province, near Beijing, these handsome silk tapestries add a touch of elegance to any wall. During the first half of the 20th Century, tin toys of all kinds were manufactured in Shanghai and shipped all over the world. Our Retro Wind-Up Tin Ping Pong Toy, also manufactured in Shanghai, keeps the tradition alive with a design inspired by the toys of yesteryear. These belts were discovered on a recent trip to Dali, an idyllic ancient mountain town in southwest China's Yunnan Province, which borders Tibet. Hand-crafted by members of the Bai Minority, one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China, the belts overflow with detail and color. The strips of embroidered material were originally created some 30 years ago for another purpose (the Bai are famous for their ornate clothing and accessories) but were recently transformed into decorative belts that brighten up any outfit. They look great with jeans!
